Welcome to the third annual Florida Design Seaglass Awards! This prestigious awards program, brought to you by Florida’s pre-eminent design magazine and judged by some of the most distinguished individuals in the industry, spotlights the state’s finest interior design, architecture, and landscape architecture. Entries are accepted across dozens of residential-design categories through January 15, 2025, with awards announced during a ceremony in May, 2025.

The 2023 Detroit Design Awards show was held on June 5, 2023 at One Campus Martius in downtown Detroit. Presented by Terrazzo & Marble Supply Companies. The evening featured food, drinks, dancing, scenic views, and a celebration of metro Detroit’s design industry.

Project Images
You must upload between 1 - 8, high-resolution image(s) along with your entry. To ensure anonymity, photos should be named by category and NOT the name of designer and/or homeowner submitting the project.

Project Concept Statement / Description
Please provide a typed overview (100 - 250 words) detailing significant aspects of the finished project. The statement should discuss design challenges, location (city name), design solutions, and other pertinent aspects, but must not mention firm name, nor individuals involved. Entrants must include the year the project was completed.
Design projects more than five years old will not be accepted. Projects should be submitted via the entry-submission form at detroitdesignawards.com.
Rising Star
Rising Star nominees must have fewer than 10 consecutive years’ experience in their field and must have completed at least one significant project. Nominations must be submitted by someone other than the nominee. Nominees will be contacted for complete portfolio, résumé, and professional photo. No fee is required for nomination.
Readers' Choice
“Readers’ Choice Best Overall Home” is an award given to the project that receives the most votes from Detroit Design readers at detroitdesignmag.com.
Projects submitted in the Best Overall Home category are automatically available online for readers to cast their votes and are eligible to win the Readers’ Choice Best Overall Home award.
Judging
An independent panel is selected from outside Michigan. Judges are drawn from national media (print and television), respected academic institutions, private practice, and include nationally recognized names from design and architecture. Their expertise reflects a broad spectrum of related professions, including architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture. All judges’ decisions are final.
Eligibility
Entries that have won in / were submitted to com-petitions other than the DDA are allowed. Entries that have been submitted previously (in other years) in the DDA (formerly DHDA) competition are allowed.
Entries that have won in the DDA (formerly DHDA) competition (in other years) are not allowed to be submitted in the same category in which they already won.

Entrants must secure and submit royalty / reuse-free photos from their photographer before submitting images (to run in Detroit Design / detroitdesignmag.com at no additional charge). All photographs submitted may be published free of charge by Hour Media for up to one year from submission date. It is the entrant’s responsibility to inform the photographer of these terms.
Guidelines / Additional Terms
Only entrants will receive an award. If other companies, designers, and/or homeowners contributed to the project and would like to receive an award, duplicate plaques may be purchased upon receipt of the winner letter at an additional cost of $95. Additional contributors will not be mentioned at the awards ceremony, on award plaque, or in the magazine unless his/her company was listed as a “co-entrant.”
Important note: If you list a co-entrant on an entry, the co-entrant’s name will appear as a co-winner with your company name in the magazine and on the award plaque if your submission is selected as a winner. There is a separate opportunity on the submission form to list others who contributed to the project; this area is optional and those you list here will NOT receive an award plaque if your entry is selected as a winner. Their names, however, may be featured in the DDA magazine editorial.
If a category doesn’t receive sufficient support, Detroit Design retains the right to remove the category from that year’s competition. In this event, the entry fee would be refunded for the affected entries.

The statement should discuss design innovation and solutions, any pertinent challenges, and notable details, and should include the location (city and neighborhood/district) and year the project was completed. Design projects more than three (3) years old will not be accepted.
The firm name and any individuals involved MUST NOT be named.

BEST IN SHOW
All projects submitted will be entered into the “Best in Show” category, which will be determined by the judges’ scoring.

ELIGIBILITY

OVERVIEW
GEORGIA DESIGN and Atlanta magazine are pleased to present the fourth annual Georgia Design Awards. These awards are the first of their kind— bringing together all segments of the design, architecture, construction and landscape communities in order to showcase the best work and brightest talent across the state of Georgia. The program is also the first to involve both trade and consumers. Leveraging the full audiences of both our magazines, along with the extensive reach of atlantamagazine.com, the winning designs will be showcased in front of design enthusiasts throughout the region.
The Georgia Design Awards spans the categories of architecture, interior design, homebuilding, remodeling, and landscape design—both residential and commercial. Entrants must be based in Georgia and will have the opportunity to submit projects ranging from a single room or product installation to an entire home or public space. Submissions will be accepted beginning March 15, 2025, through July 15, 2025. Entries are judged by an independent panel of design professionals from outside of Georgia. Winners will be announced at the Georgia Design Awards Gala in November 2025. Award-winning entries will also be featured in the winter edition of Georgia Design.

ELIGIBILITY
The Georgia Design Awards are open to trade professionals in the following categories: Interior Design, Architecture, Home Building, Home Remodeling, and Landscape Design. Consumers/homeowners who are interested in having their homes/projects considered can do so but should include the names, if any, of design/build professionals who completed the work being submitted. Trade or Retail Showrooms are also eligible to submit projects for consideration but should include the names of any design/build professional who was involved with the project being submitted. Entries that have won in or were submitted to competitions other than the Georgia Design Awards are allowed. Projects submitted previously to the GDA awards that have not won an award may be re-submitted. The principal design/build/architecture professional overseeing each entry must be based in the state of Georgia, regardless of whether that professional’s firm is headquartered in Georgia. Projects themselves may be located in other states and must have been completed since July 31, 2020. Atlanta Magazine LLC reserves the right to disqualify any entries that do not meet the requirements.
